

Mark recently retired and had been a boilermaker out of Local 374 for over 30 years.
He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh.
Mark was a good husband, father, and was dedicated to his family. Mark enjoyed life, was a great provider and was better known as “Hopsing” to his co-workers. His family and friends will miss his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen Mehling (Buechler); son, Robbie of Newburgh; daughter, Alicia of Newburgh; parents, Oscar and Annetta of Mariah Hill, IN; five brothers, Nick (Kaye) of Mariah Hill; Tim of Jasper; Tony (Jill) of Ferdinand; Bill (Laura) of Mariah Hill; Paul (Cecelia) of Newburgh; seven sisters, Elaine Hopf (John) of Jasper; Patty Blankenberger (Joe) of Ferdinand; Sharon Hasenour (Steve) of Ferdinand; Linda Keck (Ernie) of English; Yvonne Berg (Scott) of Ferdinand; Marilyn May (Rod) of Haubstadt; Jean Ledbetter (Barry) of Danville, IN; and 32 surviving nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM (CST) Saturday, March 20, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Road, officiated by Fr. Joseph Ziliak with burial following at St. John’s Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM (CST) at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road, Newburgh, IN, and Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
