Norma Jean Webb, 88, of Newburgh, went to Heaven on Sunday, October 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was born July 3, 1936 in Heilman, IN to the late Robert Lee and Oval Lillian (Skelton) Bruce.
She graduated with honors from Boonville High School in 1954. She loved to sing and was a member of the Glee Club. On September 10, 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, James (Bud) Webb. They were married 39 years when Bud passed away in 1993.
As a young adult, she was led to the Lord through a meaningful visit with two close friends who shared their love for Christ. For decades she served God through teaching Sunday School, Awanas, and Women’s Missions. Norma found joy singing in church choirs, and in later years she especially enjoyed singing alongside her sister Naomi at Gateway Baptist Church.
Norma passed her time with simple pleasures such as watching hummingbirds, gardening, picking pink clover, and working the daily crossword puzzle. She will be remembered for her kindness, big heart and her everlasting unconditional love.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Fallwell (Tom), Kathleen Webb, and Lee Ann Skelton (Brian); 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren that she was so proud of; sister, Naomi Flowers (Glen), and many others who will dearly miss her.
There will be a private Celebration of Life for the immediate family. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in her memory. Condolences may be made online at www.AlexanderNewburghChapel.com.
