

Craig was the beloved husband of Rochelle, his partner in everything, and a proud, devoted father to Gerry (Haley), Kailey, and Karley. . He was a proud and loving grandfather to Graysin and Jesse, with whom he shared many cherished moments.
He is survived by his siblings Michael (Evelyne), Daniel (Kim), Natalie (Mark), and Paul (Amy), as well as his sister-in-law Michelle (Philip), Godmother, Judy Raab; and his Godfather, Steve Wilk.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice (Dobrowolski) Wilk; his brother, Tracey; He was also a loving uncle and godfather to many nieces and nephews, and a devoted “dogfather” to many—especially his faithful companion, Wrigley.
Craig played football at St. Joseph College and went on to serve with honor and dedication for 33 years with the Cook County Sheriff’s Police. During his distinguished career, he served as a Field Training Officer, was a member of the Incident Command Team, and was an active member of FOP Lodge 4. A proud Eagle Scout, Craig was not just a colleague-he was a mentor, a leader, and someone countless officers looked up to. He took pride in shaping others, always willing to teach, guide, and stand beside those who needed him.
Craig loved the simple things-animals, a good sweet treat (which he could never pass up), time with his family, including regularly watching animated movies with his grandson Jesse, and being unapologetically proud to be an American. He lived big, loved deeply, and left an impression on everyone he met.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Craig’s honor on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Christina Church 3342 W. 111th Street Chicago, IL. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, IL.
Craig’s legacy of service, love, and integrity will live on in all who knew him.
