Don was born in Chicago Illinois on November 10th, 1961 to Anita Arguello and the late Jerry Smith, Don was the oldest of 4 children and brother to Jerry Smith, Dianne Porter, and Michael Smith.
Don was a loving husband to Virginia Smith and a loving Father to Kristina Hiltabidel (John), Jason “J.R.” Smith (Janet), and Ashley Ritter (Kyle). His grandchildren Isabelle, Donald, Jason Jr., Isaac, and Jackson along with many nephews and favorite nieces will always remember him for his love and sense of humor like no other.
Don was the best Gapa, Grandpa, and Papa to his Grandchildren. His favorite pastime was enjoying fishing, music, riding his Harley Davidson, reading/books and being with his family.
A celebration of life for Donald will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453, with a remembrance ceremony at 4:00 PM.
