Joseph J. Depre

Joseph J. Depre, age 83, of Evergreen Park, IL; passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, peacefully with family at home. Beloved husband of Stephanie nee, Volmer, married in October 1959; amazing dad of the late Joseph Jr. (Alexis) Depre, Andrew (Kathleen) Depre and Paul (Michaelene) Depre; precious papa of Kathryn (Rob Steinberg) Depre, Joseph Depre III, Zachary Depre, Paul Depre Jr., Emily Depre, Kristina (fiancé Garet Wimmer) Depre, Jessie Depre, Ellie Depre and Joanne Depre; dearest brother of Liz (John) Rettig, John (the late Cyndi) Depre and Tony (Pat) Depre; brother-in-law of Lydia (the late Danny) Blanda; proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a pillar of the Evergreen Park community and an active member of the E.P. Park Board for decades until his passing. While raising his boys and grandchildren, Joe coached E.P. baseball for decades. Joe was an avid hunter with his father, brothers, sons, grandsons and friends. He loved to share his hunting stories as much as he loved and tended to his garden. He was a senior member of St. Bernadette Parish. Joe immigrated to the United States during WWII, through Catholic Charities and built a life in Chicago and Evergreen Park.
