

Judy was born on June 13, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Mary Furtta (née Rod). Judy spent her youth with friends and her sister. She met her future husband at the Back of the Yards Free Fair in Chicago. She enjoyed dancing, going for drives in a 1959 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, and going to the Double Drive-In on Columbus Avenue in Chicago.
After graduating from Lindblom High School in Chicago, Judy married her high school sweetheart in her local Methodist church.
As a stay-at-home mother, Judy raised two children in Oak Lawn. The family took yearly driving vacations to all four corners of the United States, seeing many individual states along the way.
As her children grew, Judy worked as an executive assistant. She worked at the First National Bank of Chicago (J. P. Morgan Chase) for decades.
In retirement, Judy enjoyed nature and the environment and participated in social movements. She cruised to Alaska, went horseback riding in Montana, enjoyed whitewater rafting in the Rocky Mountains, and rode on a lobster fishing boat in Maine.
More recently, she participated in the Oak Lawn Garden Club.
Judy had a small but loving family. She was proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Diane (Bill) Murphy (née Furtta); She is survived by her husband, Larry Rosenlund; her daughter, Kim (Andy) Lytis (née Rosenlund); her son, Scott (Joan) Rosenlund; and her grandsons, Michael Lytis and Aaron Lytis.
Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Judy’s wishes, there will be no public service.
