

Linda M. Dudlicek, nee Vaicekauskis, passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 83. Beloved Wife of the late James A. for a loving 50 years. Loving Mother of James L. and Laura Magenta. Cherished Grandmother of Mia, Sophia Magenta, and August Magenta. Dear Sister-in-Law of Barbara Dudlicek.
Linda worked for about ten years as an English teacher in Chicago’s Audy Home and Kennedy High School, where she met her husband. Treasuring family, she became a stay-at-home mom. Over the years, she became very involved with her children’s schools including several terms as President of the Parent Teacher Association. In her later years, she returned to work at the Oak Lawn Public Library. Linda’s hobbies included reading, sewing, drawing, gardening, doing puzzles, watching animal documentaries and movies, going on drives, and traveling. Bowling and Bingo became beloved activities as well. She also loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Her apple slices were always a hit at bake sales and chocolate cake at birthdays was a long tradition. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was reading, baking, babysitting, or watching their musical performances. She was known as a sweet lady by all who knew her.
A Visitation for Linda will take place Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. Oak Lawn, IL 60453. Funeral to follow on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, with a Chapel Service at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Saint Casimir Catholic Cemetery, 4401 W. 111th St. Chicago, IL 60655
