Beloved husband of 47 years to Gayle Bukowski (nee Dabkovich); loving father of James; dear uncle of Gayle Malone (nee Lohman). Richard was a Senior Vice-Commander of the VFW 3rd District of Illinois, Jr. Vice-Commander of the Johnson Phelps VFW #5220, Commander of the Green Oak American Legion # 757, Sr. Vice-Commander of the Military Order of the Cootie pup tent #42, Grand Surgeon-Grand of Illinois Military Order of the Cootie, associate member of the Polish American Police Association (PAPA) and member of the Oak Lawn Elks #2254.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 4th 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn, Il. Funeral Tuesday, April 5th 10:00 a.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
