Born on May 31, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, Rita was a proud graduate of Gage Park High School. She spent much of her career working in the grocery industry, where she was known for her dedication and warm spirit. Rita was married to the late John Lord for 30 loving years.
Rita had a passion for crafts and cooking, always bringing creativity and heart to everything she did. She was a devoted mother to her son Ryan (Melissa), and a cherished grandmother to Johnny, Lucas, and Ethan. She was also a loving sister to the late Jack, Larry, the late Mellody, and the late Carmine.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service to honor Rita’s life on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, IL 60453.
