Seamus James Prendergast

Seamus James Prendergast, age 70, of South Elgin, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9th, 2023. He is survived by his beloved children: Katharine (Ryan) Weinheimer and James Prendergast; cherished granddaughter, Haley; cherished siblings: Gerald (Yvonne DelPrincipe) Prendergast, Richard (Julie) Prendergast, Thomas (Joan) Prendergast, Patrick (late Sharon) Prendergast, Loretto (late Bob) White and Regina (Steve) Hermann; numerous loving and adored nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Catherine Prendergast and sister, Catherine Prendergast.

Seamus earned his Bachelor’s degree from Quincy College. He went on to graduate from Northern Illinois University School of Law and practiced law his entire adult life. Seamus was an avid Chicago Sports fan. He loved his family and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation that will take place on Monday, June 19th, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home 4727 West 103rd Street, Oak Lawn, Illinois. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023 with 9:00 A.M. prayers at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home to St. Barnabas Catholic Church 10134 South Longwood Drive, Chicago, Illinois with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, Illinois.
