It was good to visit Verna a few months ago at her new home in Oak Park; we explained to the staff that we were first cousins-- the youngest Erickson cousin and the oldest.  My condolences to all who miss her.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Verna through her best friend in life Ardelle Walski. She was a lovely and gracious lady. Ardelle has told me all the stories about them growing up together and all the trips they took. We will miss her.

I will be sending out a letter shortly about the memorial service we will be having for Verna.  It will be on February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago, 126 E. Chestnut (at north Michigan Avenue). I hope you can attend.

I had the good fortune of working with Verna for the past year.  I was her Power of Attorney, health advocate and I helped her with her bills/finances.  I have rarely met a more lovely person than Verna. She was funny, caring and a genuinely a good person. I enjoyed listening to her stories about her life and already miss her greatly.

I had the pleasure of being Verna's hairstylist, for over thirty five years. 
Always a wonderful visit. She surely will be missed.

You became my niece when I married your uncle Willard in 1964.  I treasure our family connection.  You and Willard were more like cousins and had great respect for one another.  Now you can enjoy a family reunion with him once again.  You will be missed here by many.

Vera, was a lovely woman. A good coworker
and neighbor for many years. She will be missed.

There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories.
