

He was preceded in death by his parents Arturo and Viviana, brother Alfredo, sister Dora, and sister-in-law Elva.
Art is survived by his wife Juanita, sons Arturo (Devi) and David, daughters Malinda and Lisa (Benjamin), and grandchildren Jasmine, Brian, Marlen, Sophie and Marina.
In addition, surviving are his brothers George and Ramiro (Mary Jane), sisters Susana (Noe) and Alicia (Clint), sister-in-law Noemi, nieces, and nephews.
Art was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, compadres, family, and friends. He dedicated many years of honorable service within the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and later the Army National Guard. He was a spiritual man through his Catholic faith. He loved fishing in Cabo San Lucas, watching baseball, sharing a breakfast, and reminiscing old times over a cold beer with family and friends. He was full of life, love, and will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm including a rosary to be recited at 6:00pm at Eternal Hills Mortuary’s Chapel in Oceanside, California.
A catholic funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Oceanside, California.
Art will be laid to rest under military honors through a Shelter Service at the Miramar National Cemetery promptly at 1:15pm.
A memorial reception will follow at the Veterans Association of North County at 3:00pm.
