Carmen was born in La Jolla and grew up in Encinitas and Oceanside. She was involved with the USO during the Korean War. She was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a leader for her daughter’s Girls Scout Troop for many years. She loved and enjoyed her family immensely. She also enjoyed going to the casino.
She is survived by her daughter Charlene Gallina (Steve Baxter), grand-son Anthony Gallina, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Gallina and son Gary Gallina.
A visitation will be held Thursday, May 21, 2015, 4:00- 8:00 PM at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary and Crematory, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054. A funeral service to honor her will be held Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary and Crematory, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054.
