Clarence Charles Bartolomeo

Born October 26, 1930 in Somerville, Massachusetts, went home to the Lord on September 2, 2014. He is survived by his wife Sonia, his sister, Patricia, daughter, Denise, her husband Daniel, four stepchildren: Miguel, Monique, Linda and Thomas, four grandchildren: Kathleen, her husband Kevin, James, his wife Magdalena, Joseph, his wife Gracie, Aileen, and five great-grandchildren: Layla, Michael, Jorge, Daniella, and Sophia.

Bart was a Proud Marine who served his country for 28 years. His service took him to places like: Korea, Japan, Vietnam, France and Hawaii. He retired in California making Oceanside his home. Bart spent his retirement years traveling to places such as Taiwan, Spain, Europe, and Mexico.

His life’s passion was giving of his time, talent and treasure in service to our Lord. He was a dedicated sacristan, Eucharistic minister, taking communion to the sick in the hospital and retirement homes, feeding the hungry through the food-pantry of Catholic Charities, and his many services to the Knights of Columbus.

Bart loved his God, family, and country. He is much loved and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be made in Bart’s honor to the Convitto Inernazionale San Tommaso D’Aquino in Rome.

A vigil/rosary will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vista, California.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vista, California.

Mr. Bartolomeo's final resting place will be Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, California.
