

Clifford “Boss” Henry Hahn, Jr., 89 years, of Oceanside, CA, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Pacifica Senior Living Oceanside. Born in Flint, Michigan on June 9, 1934. He was the husband of Richardine Hahn for 29 years.
Survivors: wife, Richardine Hahn, son(s), Patrick Hahn, and wife Judy of Lake Frederick, VA., Michael Hahn, and wife Dolores of Oceanside, CA, and daughter, Gail Lelek of Schertz, TX. Clifford is pre-deceased by first wife, Jacqueline Hahn passing in 1989 and son, Jeffrey Hahn in 2019. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren (Pre-Deceased great-grandsons: Aben Hahn 19, and Kevin Schneider 22).
Clifford “Boss” honorably served his country in the United States Navy starting in 1952 and during the Korean War conflict in where he received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. The “Boss” had many stories of his Navy days aboard the USS Calvert, a Crescent City-attack transport” APA-32” where he was required to maintain “Top Secret” clearance. Clifford “Boss” was honorably discharged from the Navy on June 20, 1956. Subsequently, he was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars receiving a Certificate of Appreciation from the San Luis Rey Chapter in 1998.
Before retiring from car sales in 1994, Clifford “Boss” worked as a grocery store manager for several markets over 20 years, including Mayfair, Big Bear and Kroger’s. During retirement, the “Boss” became an avid golfer, and was constantly engaged in finding a new home project or completing an old one. The Bosses’ only regrets are he never finished his book, “Waste not want not, or is it shame on you ladies?“ Or improving on one of his many cartoon character drawings.
Anyone who ever met the Boss will never forget the Boss.
