Mom- I will always remember your fascination with the majestic mountain, Machu Picchu. My friend Teena went on the adventure of a lifetime earlier this month and, sweet person that she is, she agreed to scatter some of your ashes there. I'm grateful you are resting in the shadow of this sacred religious site.

Rest In Peace Anne Duron ~ Mom's first cousin and best friend joined mom in heaven this past weekend.

Our buddy, Huell Howser, passed away last night mom.  Of course,  you already know that cuz he's with you in Heaven now!  Don't push him like I did when I met him in Palm Springs!  He didn't really mind though, he just laughed his hardy laugh :O

Yikes Mom - we're coming up on the anniversary of your death.  I am going to do my best to celebrate your life and not dwell on how much I miss you being here with us.  My plan is to go down to Starbucks with your GiGaNTIC Starbucks cup and order US the biggest Caramel Macchiato! Little Mother, this will be our first Christmas Eve without you, however we will all be together with enchiladas that Denise and I are making and a ham cooked up by Deona.  Mmmmmm yummm.  Love that family recipe and love you.

Dear Mom, Since your passing your family has had to live with change...of course.  And with a choice you made during your lifetime that amount of change feels like such a burden. So I offer this prayer found in the St. Mary Star of the Sea newletter dated 10/16/11 to your family. 
PRAYER FOR ACCEPTANCE OF CHANGE
Just when I thought I had it all figured out, Lord, things change again.
When will I be able to rest in the comfort of knowing what comes next?

I also wish to thank Denise's friends who dedicated a Sunday Memorial mass for our Mom on 10/16/11 at St. Mary.

Corinne, I will always remember the amazing holiday meals you prepared. You were, and always will be, the greatest hostess. I will miss preparing my shrimp ceviche for you this Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday. We will all miss you very much but we will never forget your amazingly beautiful spirit.

Corinne I'm so happy that you allowed me to be a part of your life.  I know we had a very special relationship and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to be your Son in-law..  I'm not going to say good bye because I know we'll see each other again.  For now I just want to say that I MISS YOU and I LOVE YOU MORE!!

An I know your still watching down on me and laughing at all the goofy things I still do. The loss of Mom, her love swells up like a wave and crashes over me.  I hold on, breath, and wait during that rush and arrive at the other side with peace and I smile as she called me "my Diane".

Dear Family, Id like to tell you how fortunate you've been to have such a wonderful mother/relative to grow with. As I sit and gaze at this blank page the smile on my face grows forever.
