David Alexander Smith

David Alexander Smith passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 4, 2023 in Oceanside, California at the age of 70. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on October 25, 1952 to Harry Smith, Jr., and Lena Smith.

David worked very hard during his life as minister, singer and as a self-employed business person. He did serve military time in the Army, SP 4, in which he received a National Service Defense Metal and Vietnam Service and Campaign Metals.

David enjoyed singing, playing a guitar and drums

David is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Uncle Bill, Aunt Flo, and Aunt Claire. He is survived by his loving daughter Christy Smith, sisters: Shan Smith-Whitley, Non Reilly (husband John), Karen Ndoca (husband Andrew and children Brynne and Stephen); brothers: Ian Smith (wife Nova and children La Dawna, Shandra, Abrianna and Darlaina) and cousins: Linda, Janelle and Larry. Niece: Trisha Miller (husband Ron and children Stefanie and Monique) and great niece and nephews: Melanie, Joey, Ezra and Ethan

David lived a full and interesting life and he will be dearly missed by all family members. David suffered a stroke over a year ago and had a short illness before his death. We are glad that David is not in pain and suffering anymore. Arrangements have been entrusted to Miramar National Cemetery, San Diego, California, full military Service to be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00am.
