Doris Llewellen Provencher, age 93, passed away on Nov. 22, 2025, in Portland, TN. Doris was born on Jan. 5, 1932, in Box Butte County, NE, to Arthur D. and Adele L. (Plahn) Schumacher. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Hemingford High School. Doris moved to California in the 1960s. She worked for many years at the Hughes Aircraft plant. Doris married Bob Provencher in March 1984.
Doris is survived by her sister Karen, Bob’s children Michael and Dana and several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Bob, her parents, her brother Keith Schumacher, and Bob’s son Jack and daughter Michele.
The last couple years were spent in Tennessee with Michael and his wife Barbara. A graveside service will be held on Dec. 15, 2025, at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside, CA.
