Eugene (Gene) C. Stone, 89 is mourned by friends and family after passing away at his Carlsbad home on December 29, 2020. Gene was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 5, 1931. He graduated from the University of New Mexico, served in the U.S. Air Force . He earned an MBA at New York University in 1957and worked in the advertising firm of J. Walter Thompson in New York City for several years before he returned to Atlanta and spent many years developing Real estate in the Southeast United States before retiring to Carlsbad in 1992.
Gene is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jackie, two sons, Michael and Christopher, two daughters Stephanie and Sherilyn, and six grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in his memory to the veterans organization of the donor’s choice. Cremation is under the direction of Eternal Hills in Oceanside, California.
