Gerardo Hernandez Vargas

Gerardo H. Vargas (Jerry) was born on May 31st, 1958, in Oceanside, CA and passed away June 26th, 2022, in San Diego, CA. Jerry was born to two loving parents Enrique T. Vargas and Josefina H. Vargas. He is preceded in death by his Father Enrique T. Vargas and Brother Enrique H. Vargas. He is Survived by his Wife Maricela Vargas of 34 years, Daughter Veronica Jasper, Grandchildren Connor and Aria Jasper, Sister’s, Amparo Chavez, Alicia Escamilla and Connie Vargas, Brothers-in-law, Manuel Chavez, Mario Pena, Stan Plewa, and Mauro Pena, Sisters-in-law, Ernestina Martinez, Magali Plewa, Mary Martinez, Veronica Pena, and Josephina Pena and by many nieces and nephews who were extremely special to him.

Jerry worked for Superior Ready Mix for 18 years, a job that he truly enjoyed. He will always be remembered by his playful humor and notorious smile. Family meant the world to him, and him to all of us. He was a caring, humble, and a giving soul who absolutely loved life, he was the kind of man that asked for so little but gave so very much. When his grandchildren were born, they were the greatest blessings in his life. Jerry will be missed more than words can say, we will forever cherish the beautiful memories that he gave each and every one of us, he will never be forgotten. Thank you, family and friends, for all of your love and support, we are truly blessed to have you in our lives.
