He has found eternal peace with his Lord and Savior Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Elvira V Merrifield.
He is survived by his longtime loving wife, Hilda M Boehme, sons, Gerry Boehme and Bernard Boehme and his wife Cheryl Boehme, grandchildren, James and Bridget, and great grandchildren, Kole and Remi.
He spent most of his working career as a security officer during which he helped many people in crisis. He has a soft heart on homelessness and regularly provided support such as food and clothing.
James was a member of the Mission San Luis Rey church for over 50 years and regularly attended mass and served as a parishioner.
He also frequently loved to socialize with friends and neighbors. He was always ready to tell a story about something he read in the newspaper. He was always up for a ride to the beach and lunch of Fish and Chips! He loved his adoring wife and two sons, Bernard and Gerry as well as his grandkids and great grandchildren. We will miss his great sense of humor and welcoming smile!
