Jerry was born on May 29,1952, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was raised by his loving parents Edward and Betty Henry in Adams, New York. As a young man he relocated to California where he resided and raised his family with his bombshell of a wife, Lucille.
Jerry lived a life defined by dedication to country, passion for aviation, was a tinkerer and builder, and had an infectious love for good times and family.
A Life of Service and Aviation. Jerry proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1976, where he specialized as a Weapons Control System Mechanic.
Following his military service, Jerry transitioned his expertise into a distinguished 40-year career as an Aviation Specialist. He was instrumental in developing and launching early digital avionics systems and worked closely with law enforcement and vintage aircraft owners and an incredible community of friends across the aviation industry. Throughout his career, he helped thousands of pilots and was a highly respected figure in his field receiving numerous awards and accolades.
A Man of Many Passions. Away from the hangars, Jerry was easily recognizable by his colorful Hawaiian shirts and his boisterous “how the hell are ya?” He was a dedicated family man, who alongside his father and brother, built a treasured family cottage on Lake Ontario in Henderson Harbor, NY. A place that is a true testament to their lasting bond.
Jerry had an unwavering passion for woodworking, classic cars, Harley Davidsons and being “king” of the grill but his greatest expertise might have been mixing an unforgettably mean margarita - look out!
Jerry was known for his larger than life spirit, love of great food, and commitment to creating "good times" for everyone around him. He was loved deeply and will be remembered fondly.
