Carrano, Josephine M. OCEANSIDE -- Josephine M. Carrano, 93, passed away on October 13, 2013. She was born on November 18, 1919 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was the daughter of the late James Giordano of Fairfield, Connecticut and the wife of the late James Carrano. Josephine was a talented dancer who also enjoyed swimming, stamp collecting and the music of the '40s. She was proud of her service as a WAVE during WWII and her work at Remington Arms, manufacturing bullets for the men at war. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Carrano. She is survived by her three children: Nancy Peart of Bridgeport, CT, Carol Soto and Patricia Nieblas, both of San Juan Capistrano. She had eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; amd two surviving siblings, James Giordano and Rose Humphreys, both of Fairfield, CT. A brief viewing and Mass will be held at 12:30 pm, on Friday, October 25, at St. Marys Star of the Sea in Oceanside. Burial will be held after the Mass at Eternal Hills Memorial Park, 1919 El Camino Real, Oceanside.
