She was a kind and gentle soul whose strength and warmth touched everyone around her. I had the privilege of knowing her as the beloved wife of my college friend, Thakore Shah, and of sharing meaningful moments in India and during visits in San Diego. Though I am unable to be present in person, my thoughts and prayers are with the family. May her love and spirit continue to live on in all who knew her.

It is hard to believe that Gitaben is no longer with us physically. Having known both Thakorebhai and Gitaben for over 55 years, both Jyoti and I can truly vouch for her charming nature, ever-smiling face, and the heart filled with love and warmth.  She was a brave and courageous woman. Even after receiving radiation treatment, when her cancer recurred and it was determined that a cure was extremely unlikely, she had the strength to calmly plan the rest of her life. She chose to depart peacefully rather than subject her body to strong medications and their difficult side effects. It is easy to say, but very hard to do — yet she followed that path with remarkable grace and conviction, never regretting her choice.  
She was deeply family-oriented. She always placed her family and friends above herself, making many sacrifices to ensure their happiness and well-being. She stood by them through every challenge and every season of life. Relationships meant everything to her. She was also instrumental in helping her brothers and their families settle in the United States. Whenever we visited them in San Diego, we always felt at home in her warm company.
She was a true Vaishnav — gentle, devoted, grounded in faith. She was a loving soul mate to Thakorebhai, always walking beside him hand in hand — not behind, not ahead.
Gitaben, you lived a full and joyful life. Naturally, when such a loving soul departs, we feel a deep void and profound grief. Yet because your life was so meaningful, complete, and fulfilled, we also celebrate you. We will cherish your beautiful memories, and although you are no longer with us physically, you will continue to live on in our hearts, guiding us with your grace and gentle spirit.
We pray that her soul may rest in eternal peace, and that God grants strength and courage to the family to bear this loss. Our deepest condolences to dear Thakorebhai and to the entire family.
