Long time Encinitas resident Lois May has passed away at her home on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the age of 94. Lois and her late husband Herman met in Long Beach and were married in Pittsburgh, PA. After the birth of their first child Earl, they moved to Encinitas, CA where they had 2 additional children, Nancy and Jim.
As a caring wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker she always put her family first. Working diligently with her husband, Lois and Herman built May Greenhouses, one of the longest running flower nurseries in Encinitas.
Her loving nature and sweet disposition will be missed by her 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a devout Lutheran with a strong faith in God who will be forever remembered by the hearts she touched
To those family and friends who would rather donate than purchase flowers, listed are two organizations that you can donate to.
