Loren A. Raddatz, 88 peacefully passed away on Friday April 5, 2019 at his home in Vista, California. A Full Military Honors Graveside service and burial will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery, Oceanside, California on May 29, 2019 at 12:00 noon.
Loren Arthur Raddatz was born on May 29, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Arthur and Esther Raddatz. He married Dorothy M. Barkus on April 11, 1953. (passed away October31, 2018).
He is survived by his three children, Mark Raddatz of Orange, California, Kim (Stephanie) Raddatz of El Cajon, California, and Lee Ann (Scott) Raddatz-Morrison of Julian, California, and his brother Dean Raddatz of Center Point, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
Loren retired 30 years United States Marine Corps. He was a Korean War Veteran, Chosen Few (Purple Heart), and multiple tours of Vietnam, USMC Criminal Investigator, Sargent Major of Camp Pendleton, Southern California Edison Company-Chief Security. His hobbies included gold mining in Nome, Alaska, Lost Dutchman Mining Assoc., Treasure Seekers of San Diego. He has always a child at heart.
