Maria, 96, was born on August 15, 1915 in Todos Santos, Mexico. She passed away quickly and painlessly surrounded by her immediate family on May 4, 2012.
She was strong, honest, hardworking and enjoyed a long life filled with love, laughter, faith, family, friends and great food.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Salvatierra; three of her five children, Pedro Salvatierra, Marguarita Kimball and Manuel Salvatierra; she is survived by her two sons, Richard Salvatierra and wife, Angela and Andy Salvatierra and wife, Tricia; daughter-in-law Caroline Salvatierra; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing held at Eternal Hills in Oceanside from 4-8pm on May 14, 2012 with a Rosary conducted at 7pm. The funeral services will be at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Vista at 10am on May 15, 2012 with the burial to follow immediately at Eternal Hills.
