Miller was born in Rienzi, Mississippi to Mary Alma and Willie Lee Bragg on March 2, 1935. He married Eileen Beverly Wilson on November 11, 1955 and they remained happily married for 61 years. Miller and Eileen were active participants in their Christian community, as parishioners for 40 years at Grace Missionary Church in Zion, IL, and more recently at Cornerstone Christian Church in Vista, CA. Miller worked for Johns Manville for 40 years, and continued to enjoy physical labor and staying active for many years after his retirement.
Miller raised two beautiful daughters while modeling trust in the Lord and always tackling life’s joys and sorrows as a labor of love. He and Eileen took great joy in travel and landscape scenery, whether just blocks from home or across the country to explore new roads untraveled. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom he lovingly referred to as his “special angels”.
Miller is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eileen, and brother John Bragg.
Miller is survived by his daughters Theresa Lynn (✞Richard) Reboulet and Nancy (✞Ken) Wilcox (Vista, CA), his granddaughters Maria Rachel Miller White, Monica Hope (Tom) Wynn-Laughton (Oceanside, CA), and Hillary Faith (Alex) Anthony (El Cajon, CA), and great-grandchildren Kylie, Elizabeth, Asher, Blaise, Cecilia, Dallan and Florian. He is also survived by two siblings Joseph (Irene) Bragg (Zion, IL) and sister Elizabeth Siems (Beach Park, IL), as well as Ann Bragg (wife to John Bragg, Beach Park, IL) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
While he is dearly missed by us all, we have comfort in the assurance of eternal life in Heaven, and his reunion with his Redeemer and loved ones who have gone before him. Our family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to his physicans and Hospice caregivers, as well as his extended church family and friends for their prayers, support, and many years of friendship.
