With profound love and deep respect, we announce the passing of Oralia R. Sisneros, affectionately known to family and friends as "Maria" and "Lollie," who departed this life on April 3, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on November 10, 1929 in Mountainair, New Mexico.
Oralia lived a remarkable life defined by compassion, kindness, love, and unwavering service to others.
A woman of grace and quiet strength, Oralia's most enduring legacy was the boundless love she gave to her family. Her life’s greatest impact was not measured by accolades or titles, but by the warmth of her presence, the laughter she brought into every room, and the countless lives she touched simply by being herself. She exemplified what it means to love unconditionally and to serve selflessly—modeling these values every day for those blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Doroteo and Prisciliana Sisneros, and cherished siblings: Eliseo Sisneros, Pablo Sisneros, Ernestine Kidd, Cpl. Dennis Sisneros, Ida Acuna, Raymond Sisneros, and Lydia Sisneros. Though she mourned these losses deeply, she carried their memory with grace and continued to honor them through her life’s work and love.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Gail Toloumu-Broening and her spouse (Jim); her treasured grandchildren, Isaiah Toloumu and Adleen Toloumu; her adored great-grandchildren, Olivia Harrell and Desmond Harrell, her Brother-in-law, Fernando Acuña and her beloved nieces and nephews —each of whom carries forward her spirit, strength, and enduring legacy of love;
Rosary on May 30, 2025 at 1:00PM and Funeral Mass at 1:30 PM at Mission San Luis Rey, 4050 Mission Avenue, Oceanside, California. Following the Mass, a reception will be held to celebrate the extraordinary life of Oralia R. Sisneros—a woman whose kindness, laughter, and love made the world a more beautiful place.
Eternal Rest Grant unto her O Lord.
