I have many fond memories of Uncle Otis. He will be missed by all. Oh, what a reunion and celebration must be going on in Heaven.

Proverbs 16:31 relates: “Gray headedness is a crown of beauty when it is found in the way of righteousness.” When loved ones die, family and friends are sad regardless of the long life they enjoyed. Our Heavenly Father, Jehovah, invites the bereaved to “throw your anxiety upon him because He cares for you.” He further promises at Matthew 5:4, “Happy are they that mourn, since they will be comforted.”

Otis was a  self made man who enjoyed helping others.  I remember watching him and my Grandpa John building the church.  He was always interested in what you had to say.  I will never forget his sparky little grin and his laugh.  The world has lost a GREAT MAN...our loss is heaven's gain...Laura Ford-Gordon

 My uncle Otis was a man I greatly admired in many ways.  Some of my sweetest memories are his infectious laugh and the obvious love he had for Christine.  I am pretty sure Otis would take on any challenge for his family. He showed me that a loving and hard working man is the best kind of husband to have.

It is with great sadness, that I read of Otis' passing.  Without a doubt, Otis was one of the kindest, most humble people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.  Otis worked with my father-in-law, Herb Lacey, at Camp Pendleton.  Herb always thought so highly of Otis!  I feel blessed, having known Otis, please accept my condolenses.  The world is a lesser place with his passing.  God Bless your family!
