She has been a mighty warrior all of her life, having been an Army brat, born on July 19, 1952 at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Patty followed her Army dad from base to base, living for a time in Italy and Germany.
Patty was the oldest of her siblings, three brothers and a younger sister. Patty married the love of her life, Arthur Lee Leedale on August 20, 1971 in Miami, Florida after highschool. Arthur was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. Together they raised two boys, David and James. As a family, they lived all over our country. From North Carolina, Illinois, Virginia, California, Hawaii and finally settling here in Oceanside in 1987.
Patty was also a proud Marine mom when James joined the Marine Corps. Special to Patty’s heart was helping to raise her niece, Kristen and her grandchildren, Manuel, Jose, Eric, Nathaniel, Lydia and Wyatt.
For the last 27 years, Patty was battling kidney, liver, heart disease and diabetes. With all of her complications, it did not stop her passion for teaching children about the Lord, crocheting, painting, baking and making her own jewelry.
Patty is greatly missed by so many whose lives she's touched.
