

Raymond James "Scotty" Logan, 84, of Oceanside, California, passed away on November 25, 2017 @ 3:33 pm @ Villa Florenza Hospice Care, peacefully in his wife's, Laurie's loving arms after a sudden 18 day illness. He died of Congestive Heart Failure and Skin Cancer.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 9am at Eternal Hills Mortuary Chapel, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, California with a Funeral Service at 10am. Followed by a Military Graveside Service All Family & Friends are welcomed to attend .
He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on February 10, 1934 but was raised in Glasgow,, Scotland. He graduated from The University of Glasgow with an Engineering & Math Degree.
He joined the Army in Paris, France and did his four year Military Service in France, Germany and the European Continent.
He started his Hockey Career in Scotland. He played in The Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway, in 1952 for The United Kingdom Hockey Team. His Passion and Love of Hockey continued thru out his lifetime. He played on The University of Princeton's Hockey Team. He formed The Southern California Hockey League and coached a Semi Pro Hockey Team, The Bruins ,in Los Angeles, California and continued on to form a Senior OlympicsTeam traveling to Europe.
His Engineering Career included working on The 1st Computer, "Ediac" that can be seen in The Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. He worked for N.A.S.A @ Cape Canaveral, Florida in The Space Shuttle. He was hired by Hughes Aircraft Company, in Fullerton, California, in 1960 His Aerospace Engineering Career included Satellites & Underwater Warfare, "Adcap". He retired after 25 years . Also, worked as a Consultant on the G.P.S. Program for Desert Storm.
He is survived by his Loving Wife ,Laurie, of Oceanside, California. Daughters : Donna Cruz, Husband, Don and Grandsons: Christopher, Justin and Jonny of Garden Grove, Ca. Cindy Logan, Deceased. Elixabeth Fix of Huntington Beach, Ca and Granddaughters : Samantha Duncan, Husband, Byron, Great, Grandchildren, Quinn, Carys and Liam of Boston, Ma. Amanda Fix and Jason and Great, Grandaughter, Elliot of Amarillo, Texas. Emily Griffin & husband , Anthony and three Great, Grandsons, Landon, Bryson& Rylan of Amarillo, Texas. Michelle Femrite, Husband, Greg and Granddaughter, Willa, of Healy, Alaska. Kristen Sillett and Grandsons, Tyler Logan , Marine and Zachary Logan of Mooresville, N.C. our Son, Scott A.Logan of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Raymond is also survived by his three Sisters : Lorna Bankert & Family in Mt.Laurel, N.J. Shari Lombardo ,husband, Anthony and Family in Waterford, Michigan. Chloie Purdy, husband, Ted and Family of Commerce, Michigan. Sister in laws : Janet Hawthorn and Family in Philadelpia, Pa. Carol Hawthorn and Family in Arizona & California.
Raymond was a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great, Grandfather and Brother. He will be missed !
