Robert Juneau

Bunkie, Louisiana — Robert Juneau, a dedicated family man and accomplished professional in the oil and petroleum industry, passed away on April 23rd in La Jolla, California. He was approaching his 86th birthday.

Born on October 4, 1937, in Bunkie, Louisiana, Robert was the son of Willie Juneau and Georgette Green Juneau. He grew up in a vibrant family with four brothers, AL, WJ, James, and Billy, and two sisters, Cathy, and Marilyn. From an early age, Robert's strong work ethic was evident, as he balanced his love for sports with life's responsibilities.

During his early years, Robert found joy in playing various sports and displayed a natural talent for them. However, it was his career in the oil and petroleum industry where he truly excelled. He began his journey in residential construction work before joining Halliburton, a renowned company in the field. Through his dedication and expertise, Robert's career led him to travel and work globally for many years.

Following a successful tenure with Halliburton, Robert embarked on a new adventure as a business owner. He owned retail stores in Hawaii, where he continued to exhibit his entrepreneurial spirit. Eventually, he settled in San Diego, California, where he spent the remainder of his life.

Robert profoundly loved golf, and it became one of his greatest passions. Spending hours on the green, he found solace, camaraderie, and the joy of the sport. Additionally, he was an avid football fan, with LSU being his beloved college team. Robert's enthusiasm for sports was infectious, and he often shared his excitement with family and friends.

Robert is survived by his long-time companion Sarah Kolb, two sisters, Cathy and Marilyn, his brothers, Billy and AL, his loving son Todd, his daughter Danette, his daughter-in-law Alexandra, and his cherished grandchildren, Kanon and Morea. Robert also had two sons who have also passed away, Robert Sean Juneau, and Jon Juneau.

During his time on earth, Robert touched the lives of many with his warm smile and kind heart. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service to celebrate Robert Juneau's life will be held on April 30th at 1:00 PM at Eternal Hills in Oceanside, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to https://www.pgareach.org, in honor of Robert's memory.
