Our beloved father and grandfather, Rodolfo “Rudy” Sandoval, left this Earth on December 3rd, 2022, to join our mother, Maria Del Socorro Sandoval. We are completely heartbroken, but we will carry on his memory and legacy in our hearts forever.
Rudy was born to J. Jesus Sandoval and Quirina Hernandez on June 21st, 1965, in Maravillas Jesus Maria, Aguascalientes, Mexico. Rudy emigrated from Aguascalientes to the United States at the age of 18.
Rudy knew of Maria Del Socorro as a family friend, but it was in Oceanside, CA where they started dating. They were both studying English at Oceanside High School at night and quickly hit it off. They married on December 10th, 1990, followed by a reception at “el rancho.” They had three daughters, Jessica, Jacqueline, and Jenefer Sandoval.
Rudy worked at Hollandia Dairy for about 25 years and loved every aspect of it. His favorite memories throughout those years were when the dairy still had cows and calves and his job was to feed the calves.
Rudy had an infectious laugh, a loud energetic voice, a heart of gold, and a free spirit. He loved being a father and “grandpa.” He loved spending time with his granddaughters, picking them up from school, spoiling them at the swap meet, and taking them out for chips and ice cream. He enjoyed spending weekends and going out to eat with his girlfriend, Raquel. He enjoyed watching soccer and always enjoyed a cold one or two. Rudy would visit Maria and drop off flowers and clean her headstone about once a week which was a ritual, he was fond of.
Rudy is survived by his three daughters, Jessica, Jacqueline, and Jenefer Sandoval, his three granddaughters, Vanessa, Avianna, and Naveah Sanchez, his girlfriend Raquel B. and 12 siblings: Rosa Maria Sandoval, Eva Garcia, Gustavo Sandoval, Ma. Teresa Sandoval, Abel Sandoval, Ruben Sandoval, Manuel Sandoval, Salvador Sandoval, Antonio Sandoval, Raul Sandoval, Raquel Sandoval, Ma. Aurora Sandoval.
