Boy, we all called him boy! But he was nothing like a boy. My brother was the real deal. Growing up we  were ages apart, but spent alot of time together. He was always about family. He was like my father figure after dad passed. He always helped me when I was in trouble
 I always looked up to him and he would do anything for me or anyone that needed something done. I miss him and he is always on my mind. Just like mom or dad I will always remember everything they've taught me. The main thing is FAMILY. Treat everyone with kindness and be true to yourself and love one another. Thats another thing my parents and my brother taught me.

Wow I don’t know where to start? Man I was just a little kid when we first met playing minor league Baseball . Siliva was always a big kid to me. He always had a big smile! I think we were in 3rd or 4th grade!! We use to have so much fun playing sports! Gus and I and Siliva we’re all on the same team! We had a great bond all the crazy things we did as kids!! Siliva use to hit a lot of Home runs when he got a piece of the ball!!! He was a great 1st baseman too! Hey JR High — High School— Scouts- we always had great times! We were just a bunch of Cool Crazy Kids!!He was always so nice and Cool 😎! I almost never ever saw him get mad at anyone!! Well I think he use to get mad at Gus a few times!!😝😝😝😝🤣! His family was always at all the games cheering all of us on! When he met Cindy he was a whole new Man!! She brought the best out in him! ❤️🙏🏿❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏿🤙🏽🏄🏾‍♀️🏄🏿‍♂️🎈The rest is history! A great marriage- A Great Family-He Just A Great Person! Never ever gonna forget my Island Brudder 🏄🏿‍♂️🏄🏾‍♀️🏄🏿‍♂️🎸🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🥥🥥🥥🥥🥥🍌🍌🍌🥥🍍🍍🍍🥝!! Just wanted to say thank you uncle. Thank you for all the time you took to spend with me as I grew, like when you came to my elementary class at Garrison for show and tell and launched all your rockets out on the grass field. Also when you found out about me going out for the B-Ball team for middle school, you took me back to Garrison to show me how to post up. Lol even in high school B-Ball you were on the sideline and caught me when I went to save the ball and you pushed me back in the game and told me "get back in there". Lol those are just a few memories of many. Again I just wanted to say thank you and love you. Until we meet again. ALOHA! (oh yeah! Say hi to the ohana/aiga for me.)

One of my favorite memories that I have of uncle Silva is when JJ introduced me to him at one of the family functions. The first thing he said to me was if I ever heard on the song called corina I smiled and said no I haven't uncle laughed and started singing corina corina and every time after that day he would sing corina corina to me when ever he saw me. I will miss that so much. I love you  uncle. Until we meet again.

My earliest memories with Boy was fishing when we were about three years old they were still completing the harbor down there in Oceanside his dad took us , Our fathers were back from Vietnam, and we both got a fish within 10 minutes and our fishing trip was over. We grew up together went through school all our years.  When we were about 11 we had motorcycles and rode all over the fields in Oceanside and we would do so many things together in our youth.  When we graduated we both ended up in Hawaii for the summer. Jumping off the rock at Waimea.  I am really going to miss him .

I remember my first Christmas at the Fely’s just happened to be Uncle’s and Anty Cindy’s year, he shared the circle of life clip and talked about the importance of family. I will always remember that Christmas and how welcomed I felt by all! 

Christmas 2018 Uncle also left a very heartwarming memory. He shared how proud he was of all the “kids” how happy he was to see the family growing and I could  just feel how happy he was to welcome Ayva and Kenzi to our family !!! 

Last memory I would like to share is from Mia’s 5th Birthday party. Ikaika and I were sitting with Uncle and talking about life with two kids. How we were considering getting Kaili a fish tank to keep her in her room through the night. Uncle laughed and shared with us they got the boys lava lamps, fish tanks, stars and nothing worked better then just turning the lights off ! He said other wise the kids stay in their room but they’re just awake !! We will miss you so much uncle. We will always remember your beautiful example and love for our Ohana!!

    When I was very young I was inspired by Siliva Jr. serving a mission.  I regret that I only wrote one letter to him during his service.  He wrote in response to me and motivated me to follow his example and serve a mission myself.  His example lifted me and pushed me to strive to do more.  Now I must continue to follow that example and strive to do better.  God bless you for lives you have lifted Siliva Jr.

I remember Uncle Siliva as a family man. Everything he did or said was always to uplift his family. He loved me as if I was his blood nephew, but to me family isn’t measured in blood it’s measured by the unconditional love that you show someone. And that’s exactly what he did. I will always be grateful for the time and events that I was fortunate enough to partake in and will cherish those moments for the rest of my life. Thank you uncle! Until we meet again. I love you

Siliva (Boy),
What a wonderful brother,  father, husband, uncle, grandfather, son and friend you are and will always be.  From the days at the beach  with you, Dirk, Gus and the other kids in the ward to ball games and birthday parties with our kiddos; life has been filled with your love, laughter and guidance. 
I remember the joy of your wedding, the anticipation and then the delight and pride of the birth of both of the boys.  I treasure the moments of love, teaching and support you shared with Jakie and Joshie that I was blessed to witness. 
Once you and Cindy got your house it became the center of family gatherings. And oh what family gatherings we had: birthdays, baptisms, baby blessings, ordinations, Easters, Halloweens, Thanksgivings, Christmases, 4th of Julys, ball games, BBQs, ward parties, pool parties and funerals.  Always one to open your heart and home to others. My kids grew up surrounded by Fely family love, laughter and blessings.
I remember your strength through Daddy's passing, quick as it was, and your loving support during mommy's cancer; such a devoted son. Indeed your presence during life events brought comfort and strength. Your encouragement and support through my divorce was so appreciated. Family. That is you in one huge, loving, supportive, joyful, celebratory word FAMILY! I love you, brother, hug Mommy and Daddy for me.

To My Dearest niece Cindy and Children, Josh,  Jake, Amara, (Josh’s wife) and granddaughters. 
I just want you to know how much Siliva  meant to me and our family.  He was more of a Son to me and brother to my boys and girls.  Truly Unko Siliva to the kids.  Especially to the three boys. Kalima, Mazlo and Makana. This will be the first year the three boys will be playing together for Carlsbad High. When the boys heard about the Unko Siliva they just broke down.  I asked the boys to dedicate their first game to their Unko and they agreed...They know that Unko Siliva will be there in spirit. Kanawai’s first commit about Unko Siliva when she graduated from high school was Unko Siliva was there in spirit.  What a Legacy Siliva has made with everyone he touch.  
I look at your sons and I see the smiles and love that flows out of them just like their Dad. I miss Siliva very much.  I love you all so very much and pray that each  day the absence of Siliva not being there will be lighter, Because he lives in your hearts forever. God bless you all. 🌺♥️🌺Tutu

Silvia welcomed me to the family from the very first time I met him. He made me feel comfortable and included me in all the family celebrations. I will never forget how welcoming and kind he always was to me. I was impressed by the love he had for his family and what a great leader he was. The whole Fely/Mauga families are incredible people and have blessed and enriched my life. 

I first met Siliva Jr. when we were invited to celebrate Jake's graduation. I had been married to Siliva's cousin, Tom, for 10 years already by that time, but had never met the Fely side of his family. I was kind of nervous meeting everyone, but Siliva Jr welcomed me into the family with open arms, literally! I got a big hug from him and he made me feel so warm. He even went as far as to bring out the genealogy book he had been working on and sat me down to tell me who everyone was in the family. What an honor! After meeting Siliva and his whole family, it made me want to visit more. I wish we lived closer to the whole Fely family because they are all so loving and funny! I am honored to be part of such a beautiful family. Much love, Alma.

You were the strongest male figure in my life and have taught me many things. Since a young age you influenced me to be a better man, weather you were coaching my team, teaching me about church or showing me how to build things with my hands you’ve played a big part in who I am today. The most valuable lesson I’ve learned from you is being a strong loving husband and father and hope to apply that to my little family. I will always remember these lessons as I grow and look to them in times of doubt. I hope to make you proud and Love you always.

 You have always been one of my biggest supporters throughout my life and with anything I do. I will always cherish all the memories with you and keep the art you've made for me forever. I remember having the most EPIC Easter egg hunts as a kid. And I couldn’t say your name properly until I was 13. You will always be “Uncle Siva” to me. You were always joking around and had nothing but love for everyone. I learned how to swim in your pool and would loose round after round of Marco Polo. 

You were an amazing example of unconditional love. And you will be greatly missed.

Boy I sit here wondering what to write about my memories of you.. I have so many.. So I will start with this.. As you know Ive had to have alot of surgeries and for the past 20 years you have given me my blessings before each one.. You made me less nervous and helped me realize that I was not alone. I have no idea what Im going to do if or when I have to have another one.. Also you have always welcomed Steven and I into your family holidays when we were estranged from our own family. Those big hugs and encouragement were the best.  They say you dont have to be blood to be family and this I know for I never felt like a friend I felt like you were my brother.. I love you Siliva Boy and will miss you dearly.. We will be here for Cindy and the boys just like you were for us.. Rest easy until we meet again...

I have only know him for a  few years, mostly through his family, his sons who are fine upstanding young men.and his wife a very caring lady. 
 One can speak loudly without saying, volumes without writing a book. I can see he was a great man through his family in how well mannered and kind they are. His legacy and memory will live on forever as a kind and gentle man.

57 years with this man born 1 year and 11 days before me. Someone who got to do everything first. (boy version). I always loved, respected  and was at aw with his protective stature, focused mentality and silent artistical talent.  As siblings we had our many years of disagreements and expectations of each other.  His sense of responsibility for family was over whelming for one man to bare, but he did what he was taught and met any and all expectations by our parents. I feel the emptiness of his departure. I know that we shall meet again and that he dwells with Mommy, daddy, Kemo and Ono. Yes, and with Pap Pap  also.  The uniting of ancestors and friends began Wed. May 15th for my older brother Siliva "boy". Believe me Cindy, Josh and Jake when I say I feel your pain. Differently, but non the less p.a.i.n. I love you all.

Boy has been in my life through my entire life growing years and I'm having a very hard time realizing that it's all just a memory. I will always remember you and keep all the good time, family time's,  holidays and all  the trips and many other wonderful things we've shared  will never ever be forgotten as long as I live my brother. How does someone squeeze so many memories into 2000 characters!!? Where to begin? He was not only a son, brother, uncle, husband, father or Baba. He was a coach, a leader and a protector. He had a heart of gold and a radiant soul. I remember when he was my softball coach of my mini socks softball team, out there in our red shirts and black shorts. I remember being one of the flower girls in his wedding. I remember the many sleep overs at the apartment by Tri-City on the 2nd floor. I remember the 3 stuffed gorillas, that he still has today, weren’t doing the job preparing them for Josh & Jake, so my brother and I had to step in. LOL. I remember the many holidays, especially Christmas, because like Nana, he always had to make something as a gift. Josh & Jake, remember the rocking horses that he made that one year? My brother and I got rocking chairs. Then there was the year of the quilts, the tie-dyed t-shirts (of which I still have), and the most recent years it’s been his mirrors, wooden boxes and necklaces with either a wooden hook or turtle. I remember the many camping trips, Disneyland trips, Sea World trips, Knotts Berry Farm trips and Zoo trips. I remember the road trips and how fun it was to follow him to Utah, Huntington Beach, Texas and all over California for the boy's games. He wasn’t only my Uncle, but he was pretty much my partner in crime. I will miss hearing my Mom and Aunty Cindy telling us not to egg each other on in something neither of us should be doing. I will miss, and I haven’t done it in a while, our late nights tag teaming on the gift wrapping of Christmas gifts. You will be deeply missed. Coming over to the house won’t be the same with you not there that’s for sure. No matter how many times I come over, I’m always expecting you to be sitting there in your chair watching TV. Hug my little angel for me. Give Nana and Baba my love. Until we meet again. I’ll remember you.

What I loved most about Siliva was his love for family and how no matter who you were he treated everyone like family. He will be truly missed by everyone that knew him. Prayers for healing peace for Cindy Josh and Jake. And the whole Fely family. Love you all.

The Burke Family is very saddened at the untimely passing of Siliva.  Our hearts are heavy as we think back on fond memories of a beloved friend from Oceanside.  You were a pleasure to know and have a wonderful legacy that lives on through your family.  May you rest in peace and feel the love from your friends and community.
