Born Trenon Lamar Williams on August 4, 1965 in Chicago IL to Ivan L. Williams and Arlene L. Gordon-Williams. He was the oldest of two maternal brothers from this union. Trenon respected Herman C. Whiters as his father as well as, enjoyed being the big brother to three more siblings.
Trey, Scarecrow or Tree as he was affectionately known. He had a personality as such that would draw you in because of his sense of humor, his intellect, his smile. He appeared very quiet until you said hello, and then he was nonstop. To him you were never a stranger but always a brother or sister. He was a music, history and cultural buff, Marvel “Guardians of the Galaxy” lover, car connoisseur, and a hat enthusiast. During high school through his early adult years, he was a local DJ in high demand.
At an early age Trey’s love for cars, classical, fast, drag et cetera, extended beyond driving and racing to collecting and servicing. After graduating high school Trey decided to become a diesel mechanic, and not just the neighborhood mechanic. But because he was only 18, and not 21 no dealership would hire him. So, he turned his attention to truck driving. He first drove for Mayflower Moving Company. He drove 18 wheelers for over 20 years.
Due to a life changing occurrence with his mom Trey moved to southern California in 2005. Where his mom and brother had resided for years. He landed his first job within a couple of days of being in California with Walsh Moving Company. After a couple of years Trey decided to return to school, this time for Plumbing. He was a Commercial Plumber for nearly 20 years.
Trey became a faithful member of the Rise Church of Oceanside immediately upon relocating from Anaheim California in December of 2023.
He was a very devoted son and father, supportive and caring brother, friend, cherished grandfather, affectionate, romantic, dependable, thoughtful and faithful husband.
Trey was preceded in death by his uncle Theophilus Gordon Jr, respected father Herman C. Whiters, brother T’jchon “Choo” Williams, grandfather Theophilus Gordon Sr., father Ivan L. Williams, and grandmother Earmmerteene Gordon.
Trey leaves to cherish his memory wife Erica D. Williams, step-children Ke’Anna Dodds (Roscoe), Kevin “TK” Dodds (Karina); daughters Angela, Ashley Cooper, Alexis Williams, grandson Trumaine Miles in addition to other grandkids; mother Arlene Broomes; Godmother Deborah Anne Alexander; siblings D. Carl Whiters (Crystal), Kimberly Ford (Bruce), Nicole Taylor (Julius), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
