

Uriah James Huston, 50, passed peacefully at his home in Oceanside, California on September 1st, 2022. Uriah was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, son of James Ray Huston and Sophia (Ozga) Azlin-McLendon. Uriah was raised in Oceanside with his 6 brothers, Samuel Clayborne Huston, Joshua Richard Huston, Daniel Alexander Azlin, Zachary Karl Azlin, Jonah Michael McLendon, and Jesse Ray McLendon. Uriah also had a tight bond with his grandfather’s 2nd wife and loving grandmother, Georgiana (Keebaugh) Huston. Uriah loved his uncles; Karl Ozga (wife Mary), and Richard Ozga (wife Joan) of Chicopee, Massachusetts and Larry Keene, and aunts; Carol Keck and Susan Witonis (husband Michael) of Maine and several cousins.
Uriah enjoyed art and produced colorful, creative masterpieces including works in his father’s published books and dreamed of attending art school in San Francisco’s Academy of Art University. Uriah also attended several courses at Mira Costa College in Oceanside and his art decorated the college’s newspaper, The Chariot. Uriah enjoyed eclectic music and even stole his mother’s car for 3 days to attend a Grateful Dead concert in the Bay Area. During Uriah’s life, he worked at Target, Mann Theater, and Payless Shoes, all in Oceanside, and Fright Nights during Halloween at the Del Mar Fair. Uriah also helped raise his 4 youngest brothers while his mother worked.
Uriah was a doting and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews Josephine, Connor, Liam, Logan, Cooper, Sadye, Benjamin, Lillian and Sloane.
Uriah was preceded in death by his Grandfather “Pappy” James Richard Huston, his grandmother Shirley J. Huston Guilman, his grandmother “Babcia” Genowefa (Ozga) Leszkowicz, his cousins Lori and Stephanie Keck and his nephew Gabriel Huston.
Uriah’s earthly remains will be cremated at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside. There will be a celebration of life at his brother Daniel’s home in Fallbrook on September 7th, 2022 at 7 p.m.
