

Vera Inez Beasley was born April 29, 1934 in Maribel, North Carolina to the late William Taft Beasley and Della Midgette Beasley. She attended Pamlico County Training School in Stonewall, North Carolina and DeShazor’s Beauty College in Durham, North Carolina.
She was united in marriage to Willie Ray House December 10, 1955, and have three children, one son Timothy Alfonso House two daughters Debra Shannon and Kym Torrence.
She joined Antioch Christian Congregational Church in Maribel, North Carolina at an early age where she sang and played the piano for the choir alongside her sisters.
Vera moved to Oceanside in 1966. She worked many years for the Marine Corps Exchange in the Sight and Sound Store. She loved putting together stereo systems for beautiful sound. She was a strong choir member at Shiloh Church of God in Christ before joining Friendly Church of God in Christ where she was a member of the Mother’s Board, Hospitality team and you might find her pouncing on the piano with the Praise team.
Vera is known for her fantastic smile, bubbling personality and loving spirit. She was an eloquent dresser, full of wisdom and grace. Vera enjoyed eating out, praising God, and sharing her love to everyone she meets. She loved going to the beach!
Vera was preceded in death by one brother William Taft Beasley Jr. and two sisters Dollie Bryant and Cora Hatchel. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Willie Ray House, her son Timothy, daughters Debra (Byron) and Kym; grandchildren: Timothy Rhae House, Debrisa Davis, Kiara Torrence, Delisa Shannon, and Elijah House; Great Grandchildren: Donavan, Amaya, Jason, and Harmony; Two sisters: Blanche Booker and Yvonne Beasley.
