Violet graduated to Heaven at the age of 104 yrs. and 9 mos. She was born on a farm in1921 in Belleville, Arkansas, marrying Robert Garner when she was 16 years old, then moved to California. Violet and Robert were married for 65 years and lived in Manhattan Beach and Carlsbad.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Wess Garner, her daughter Bobby Lynette Cunningham, and grandson, John Robert Cunningham..
Violet is survived by her daughter Sharon (Alan) Toyne; her sister Janelle (Louie) De Lisle, Granddaughters Lisa (Eli) Tyson, Heather (Aaron) Frazier, Grandsons Dan (Jocelyn) Cunningham, Dale Cunningham, Jeff (Crystal) Toyne and Great- Grandsons Laird Cunningham and Jeremiah Frazier.
Violet was an active member of the Baptist Church in Carlsbad (42 yrs); Embroidery Guild Of America (35 yrs); American Sewing Guild (30 yrs); Eastern Stars (50 yrs) and the Carlsbad Republican Assy.
Serving as Pallbearers are: Dan Cunningham, Jeff Toyne, Aaron Frazier, Eli Tyson, Ken Owens, and Steve Snyder.
