Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery,

Heuvelton.

Friends may call at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home on Friday 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Lord was stricken on Monday, May 20th and taken by ambulance to Syracuse where she underwent heart surgery. She died at St. Joseph’s

Hospital, Syracuse.

Surviving are; 2 sons, Daryl Lord (Tammy), Rochester, Garry Lord,

Hammond; 1 daughter, Mrs. Robert Marian Lord Gartner, Warrington, PA;

1 sister, Mrs. Everett (Kathleen) Fleming, Edwards; 3 grandchildren, Jason

Leonard, Horshan, PA, Elise Boone (Chris), Plumsteadville, PA, Katherine

Lord, Heuvelton; 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and

cousins. Also surviving is her loving companion of 25+ years, Walter

Proven, Hammond. Predeceasing her were 4 brothers, George, Grant,

Harold, and Pearson Wilson, and a sister, Marian.

She was born in Long Island, NY on Feb. 15, 1926, the daughter of George R. & Bessie Hill Wilson. She graduated from Copenhagen (NY) High School and was married to Alfred Lord in Skaneateles, NY in 1946. The marriage ended in divorce in 1973. She lived in Morristown for about 15 years before moving to Hammond where she lived until moving to the

Riverview Towers in Ogdensburg a week ago. For 25+ years she worked in

the maternity department of Claxton-Hepburn Hospital, Ogdensburg as a nurses’aide. In her retirement she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and knitting, crocheting, and sewing. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Asperger-Society or Hammond Presbyterian Church.
