

Private funeral services for Douglas “Dan” Dishaw, age 77 of Ogdensburg will be held at Foxwood Memorial Park at the convenience of his family. Mr. Dishaw passed away on Thursday (Aug 11, 2016) at the Riverledge Adult Home.
Surviving is his wife Catherine of Ogdensburg; a son Christopher Dishaw & his wife Mary Ellen of Ogdensburg; two daughters Deborah Keith & her companion Clayton Shampine of Norwood & Patricia Seguin & her husband Philip of Ogdensburg; six grandchildren Christopher & Michael Dishaw, Benjamin & Noel Marie Seguin and Jonathan & Daniel Keith & his wife Erin; three great-grandchildren Jordyn, Tanner & Morgan Keith along with nieces & nephews.
A brother Henry Dishaw and a sister Charlotte Beard predeceased him.
“Dan” was born on May 04, 1939 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Harold & Mary “Erdine” (Ferris) Dishaw. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy High School and Canton Technical College. He married Catherine R. Gerecke on November 11, 1962, and enlisted in the US Navy from 1963 – 1965.
During his career he was employed at Brown’s Dairy for several years and in 1982 he became employed at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center as a Therapy Aid until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed camping, bowling, duck hunting, traveling and spending time with his family.
