Jane Ann Montgomery

Jane Ann Montgomery, age 75, of Watertown, NY, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, Watertown. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Jane was born December 18, 1949, in Geneva, NY to the late Clifford and Margaret R. (Hibbard) Montgomery. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1968, attended Syracuse and Jefferson Community College RN Nursing program. Jane received a Masters’ Degree in Nursing Administration from Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, California.

Jane worked in hospital care nursing for many years and retired as a Nursing Supervisor from the Los Angeles Veterans’ Administration Hospital.

She had a passion for her dog Pearl, camping, reading, and adventure! Her grandsons, Orren Renfer, Issac Brown, Sam Brown, RoRo Brown, and Gabriel Myers were an essential part of her life. Jane was a fierce caregiver, an advocate for her loved ones, and extremely skilled in a wide range of areas. Jane was a force of nature! Jane was a gifted artist and generous with her time and energy to her family and friends.

Ms. Montgomery is survived by her children, Jason Myers of Michigan; Margaret Elizabeth “Betsy” Myers (Shane Renfer) of Michigan; her siblings, John (Susan) Montgomery, Peg (Phillip) Senn, Paul (Blanca) Montgomery, and Mark (Darlene) Montgomery; her grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Margaret Montgomery; and her stepmother, Marie Filardo Montgomery.
