John "Jack" Chambers

A graveside memorial service for John "Jack" Chambers, age 75 of El Paso TX and formerly of Heuvelton will be held at 2:00pm on April 28, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Kevin O'Brien officiating. Mr. Chambers passed away on Feb 14, 2017 in El Paso TX. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Surviving are his wife Pauline E. Chambers of El Paso TX; two sons William Chambers of El Paso TX and Lloyd (Yvette) Chambers of Houston TX; two daughters Ann Chambers of Ft. Worth TX and Brenda Sauve of Geneva NY; Kenneth (Margaret) Chambers of Heuvelton; Margaret Chambers of Heuvelton and Dean Outman (brother n law) of Heuvelton; 10 grandchildren Kimberly, Jonathan, Kaylee, Candice, Amanda, Christopher, Lynette, Ashley, Joshua & Brandon; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Two brothers Arthur Joseph Chambers and Harold Chambers and three sisters Eleanor Cannon, Emma Lou May and Jeanne Outman predeceased him.

Jack was born on February 17, 1941 in Heuvelton NY, a son of the late Lloyd & Marie (Kelly) Chambers. He graduated from Heuvelton Central and enlisted in the US Navy in 1958. He later married Pauline E. DeSouza on April 9, 1961. Jack retired from the Navy in 1977, and began his career as a Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Del Rio & El Paso TX and later in Albuquerque NM until 2003 when he retired.

He was a member of the DAV, US Navy Fleet Reserve and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Assoc. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
