June M. Ross

Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home, Ogdensburg. A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring, with details to be announced at a later date.

June was born on June 7, 1935, in Reading, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Ray and Miriam (Feeg) Borda. She graduated from high school and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. On August 27, 1960, she married Ronald “Bunny” Ross with whom she shared many wonderful years until his passing.

June was busy raising her children in Central NY and enjoying every summer up on the St Lawrence river. She enjoyed cooking and baking and surrounding her house with plants and flowers. She took time out to attend art classes and workshops various places focusing mainly in painting and ceramics. She was an active member of the Red Hat Society and the First Baptist Church of Ogdensburg where she formed lasting friendships and shared her generous spirit. She was an avid animal lover and always had two dogs accompanying her.

June is survived by her beloved children: her son, Michael Ross of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; her daughters, Susan Ross of Washington, DC, and Nancy Ditch of North Brookfield, NY; and her cherished grandchildren, Frannie and Kenny Ditch, both of North Brookfield, NY. In addition to her parents, June was predeceased by her husband, Ron Ross and her brother, William “Billy” Borda.
