Martina Y. Fleming

Memorial services for Martina Y. Fleming, age 90 a resident of the Riverledge Healthcare Facility and formerly of Cleveland, OH and Ottawa, Ontario will be held at a later date. Her place of rest will be at the Lincoln Cemetery in Chicago, IL. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Surviving are two sons Kendall Fleming & his wife Rachel of Miami, FL and Tyrone Fleming of New Orleans, LA; five grandchildren Rochelle Fleming, Kelly Davis, Mark Fleming, Tariq Fleming & Sean Fleming; a step-grandson Rick Odom Jr.; three great-grandchildren Emily & Alex Raymond and Raef Fleming; a great-niece Linda Jossey along with several nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.

Two brothers Leonard & Maurice Rousseau along with a great-niece Lydia Fleming predeceased her.

Martina was born on March 16, 1923 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Joseph F. & Martina (Jackson) Rousseau. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and married Walter B. Fleming in May of 1944. He predeceased her on Aug 25, 1976.

Martina was an active member of the St. Raphael’s Church in Chicago, IL and St. Thomas Catholic Church in Cleveland, OH. She enjoyed dancing, socializing, playing cards, entertaining, cookouts, traveling, and her dogs.
