Burial will follow at the St. Patrick Cemetery in Chateauguay, NY. Ms. Duval passed away at the facility early Tuesday morning (Sept 3rd).
Surviving is her brother Amos (Mary Loretta) Duval of St. Lenox, MA along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Siblings Florence LaMare, Ruby Miller, Rachael Kiah, Leonard Duval, Donald Duval & Hubert Duval predeceased her.
She was born on November 21, 1929 in Chateauguay NY, a daughter of the late Amos & Emma (LeClair) Duval. Mildred was proud that she completed her Confirmation and would share her confirmed name “Mildred Catherine Ann Duval”. She respected her faith and recited prayers regularly.
Mildred enjoyed growing up on a farm and often spoke about her dog and her fondness of horses. She loved her family and had fond memories of birthdays, and enjoyed reading Dick and Jane Books, eating angel food cake with raspberry sauce, chewing gum, butterscotch pudding, goat’s milk and was not afraid to share her opinion with those around her. She expressed a determined spirit, especially when it came to something that she wanted. Although she was comfortable in blue jeans, tee shirts and favorite cowboy hat, her girly side was portrayed in manicures, pedicures and getting her hair done.
Memorial contributions can be made to The United Helpers ICF Wish Book, 10 Spruce Street; Ogdensburg, NY 13669. Condolences and fond memories can also be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
