

A graveside service for Phyllis E. Lesperance was held Friday March 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Notre Dame Cemetery in Ogdensburg, NY with Rev. Juanita Brooks officiating. Phyllis, age 96, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Phyllis was born January 15, 1928 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Cecil H. and Mable P. (Preston) King. She graduated high school from Canton Central School. Following her schooling, Phyllis embarked on a beautiful journey with her beloved husband, Joseph Lesperance. As a dedicated homemaker, she poured her heart into nurturing and raising her seven children. In addition to her role as a devoted mother, Phyllis also found fulfillment in her work, spending time at Shade Roller and later as a respected Real Estate Agent for Century 21. Her joys in life included fishing, boating, scenic rides in the mountains, cherished moments with family, and peaceful days by the river.
Mrs. Lesperance is survived by her four sons, Charles (Linda) Lesperance of Wisconsin, Robert (Barbara) Lesperance of Ogdensburg, Michael (Mary Jane) Lesperance of Ogdensburg, and Christopher Lesperance of Rochester, NY; her daughters, Brenda (Fred) Ramser of Pittsburgh, PA and Laurie (Ed) Garland of Malone, NY; ten grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Lesperance in 1998; a son Anthony “Tony” Lesperance in 2018; a grandchild, Andrew Lesperance; a brother, Francis Dailey; and her sisters, Eleanor Quin, Doris Ward, and Jean Bluto
