Charles graduated from Ardmore High School. He served in the United States Air Force as a Staff Sergeant from February 1951 to November 1954, when he was honorably discharged. Following his time in the military he received an engineering degree from OU.
He was married to Madella Faye Price on May 16, 1958.
Charles had a career in civil engineering for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Benham group.
He had a passion for photography and his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife Madella Faye Ivey, his father HC Ivey, mother Frances Mae Ivey, sister Gayle Pletcher, daughter Valerie K Ivey Daunis, and son Rick Hall.
Charles was survived by daughters Lisa Schuldt and husband Terry, and Sandra Ivey and Bert Benear, daughter-in-law Nancy Hall, grandchildren Matthew Hall, Daniel Schuldt, Joshua Hall, Tia Schuldt, and Natalie Doak, and five great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, February 24, 2023, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
The funeral service for Charles will be at 2 PM, Friday, February 24, 2023, at Memorial Park Historic Chapel, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131. Charles will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the graveside service will be a catered reception at Memorial Park Historic Chapel.
