Connie grew up in the Oklahoma City area with her younger brother Mike. As a child, she enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids until dark. Connie had a deep desire to learn piano as a young teenager, so she traded piano lessons for babysitting her piano teacher’s children. She attended Putnam City schools before her family relocated to Lawton in 1966. Connie spent her final two years of high school at Eisenhower High School, graduating in May of 1968. There, she was active in National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Future Business Leaders of America, and Rho Kappa Gamma.
Connie attended Evangel Assembly God Church growing up and was active in their youth program, Christ’s Ambassadors, where she learned about her Savior Jesus Christ. She sang in Evangel’s choir and went to camp at Turner Falls. She later attended Philadelphia Assembly of God after her youth experience.
After graduating high school, Connie enrolled at Cameron State University from 1968-1969. She also began working as a cashier at More Burgers Restaurant. After deciding to enter the workforce full-time, Connie worked as a secretary/administrator for Knight Insurance Agency, Wichita National Life Insurance Company, and Manufacturers Life Insurance Company through 1976. Connie married James Raymond Price in 1975, and the couple settled in Edmond, Oklahoma. Connie then worked for Wilson Foods and Ralph Mason Enterprises in the late 1970s, until the birth of her daughter, Heather, in October of 1980 when she became a stay-at-home mom. She would later give birth to her son, Jimmy, in March of 1984.
Connie found her greatest joy in being a mother, a role she viewed as her highest calling. Her devotion to her children and their well-being was unmatched. From music lessons, to sports practices, dance recitals, and school activities, Connie was deeply involved and committed to the lives of her children. Her compassion and care during times of difficulty or sickness reflected the depth of her unwavering love for her family. Connie truly embodied the virtues of sacrifice and service, often putting others’ needs ahead of her own and laboring faithfully to ensure that everyone she loved had everything they needed. She was active in the school education of her children holding roles as Homeroom Mother and the Treasurer and Vice-President of the PTA.

In her retired years, Connie also enjoyed coloring, as she found it both calming and creatively fulfilling.
She cherished time with her children and grandchildren, always eager to celebrate their joys and support them through life’s challenges. Being a grandmother was her heart’s desire and something she looked forward to her entire life. She lived the “Nonnie” life with the same devotion and love she did as a mother. Her grandchildren loved spending time at her home. They were her pride and joy. Birthday and Christmastime took on special meaning as “Nonnie” made these events extra special for her grandchildren.
