Doris Jean Robb

Doris was born in Lafe, Arkansas on November 19th, 1934 to parents Elmer and Vera Miller. She went on to attend and graduated from Lafe High School. During her time in High School she enjoyed playing basketball and softball. Following graduation Doris went on to further her education by attending Arkansas State University before pursuing a career in accounting.

Following her education Doris moved to Flint, Michigan where she met Bobby Allen Robb, and the two were happily married on November 9th, 1956. Together the two enjoyed traveling and camping. They also greatly enjoyed playing volleyball and card games with friends. They both also shared a love of song and singing. The two were active members at Bristol Road Church of Christ, where Doris was a part of the church’s Acapella group The Key Notes Quartet. During her time in Michigan Doris worked for DuPont Incorporated in the accounting department before retiring and relocating to Edmond, Oklahoma with Bob in 2006. Once the two made their home in Edmond they joined, and were active members, of Edmond Church of Christ.

Doris always enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, especially to bird watch. She also had a passion for quilting and painting. Above all else Doris loved spending time and being with family. She will be missed by all of those who knew her.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Allen Robb; Parents, Elmer and Vera Miller; Brother, Mike Miller.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Tammy VanWagoner and husband Rod of Franklin, TN, and Marlyce Martin and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City, OK; Grandchildren, Heather (VanWagoner) Broyles and husband Forrest, Craig VanWagoner and wife Sara, Addison Martin, and Audrey Martin; Great-Grandchildren, Harper Broyles and Beckett Broyles; Brother, Jim Miller of Amarillo, TX.

A funeral service for Doris will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131 with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Rod VanWagoner, Forrest Broyles, Jared Miller, Shawn Martin, Matt Walker and Trea Brown.
